Our end-of-year trip was packed with excitement and adventure as we headed to CastleWood Treetop Adventure in Antrim for a day to remember. After getting fitted with harnesses and listening carefully to the safety briefing, everyone was ready to take on the challenge. We climbed, balanced, swung and zipped our way through the treetops while encouraging one another along the way. It was fantastic to see everyone showing so many of our Rathlin values throughout the day.
On Thursday 25th June we made the journey to Gaelscoil An Chaistil as part of our shared education project. Pupils enjoyed a number of outdoor games and got the opportunity to work as a team- meeting new friends and learning about the importance of teamwork. Go raibh maith agat to everyone at the Gaelscoil for a great day.
Yesterday, we celebrated all our successes this year during our annual prize giving. We reflected on what has been a busy yet difficult year at times. A big well done to all our sports awards winners. We also presented our P7’s with their end of year gifts- we wish them all the success in the next stage of their education.
Thank you to everyone who supported our annual sports day for 2026. It was a fantastic day filled with energy, teamwork and great sportsmanship from all our pupils and parents. Having it at the seafront really does bring the whole community together.
We appreciate the efforts of students, staff and parents who helped make the day such a success. Thank you for helping to make this year’s Sports Day a memorable one.
To mark World Oceans Day 2026 we took part in an Online workshop that highlighted the wide range of professions dedicated to protecting and understanding our oceans. We learned about people who work in maritime industries and got a chance to hear about the challenges they face in their jobs.
As part of our celebration for Cumann na Bunscol week 2026, every pupil in P1-P7 got a copy of the re-launched Saffron Óg magazine. Thank you Paudie Shivers and all at CnaB for this brilliant initiative.
