Have a look at what's happening in our school.
Pupils in P2-P4 are exploring colour as part of their topic this term. Look at their wonderful ‘Skittle’ rainbows!
As part of their WAU topic ‘Unsinkable’, P5-P7 built a sinking Titanic from old boxes and other recyclable materials. They even added some other details such as the icebergs and lifeboats.
We celebrated Shrove Tuesday today in school. Traditionally during Lent, Christians would give up rich, tasty foods such as butter, eggs, sugar and fat (some Christians continue to do so, in fact). Shrove Tuesday was the last chance to eat them – and what better way to do so than with a delicious pancake!
Today, we went outside to complete some activities from RSPB's birdwatching program. Unfortunately, we didn’t see many birds until the very end when we spotted a buzzard- the most common bird of prey in this area.
We made our St.Brigid's crosses in school this week. In Ireland, 1st February marks the beginning of spring and the celebration of Lá Fhéile Bríde, St Brigid's Day.
