Have a look at what's happening in our school.
As part of our Catholic Schools Week 2026 celebration, we were blessed to welcome grandparents and member of the Tuesday club to our school. Grandparents Day was an opportunity for pupils to share their tin whistle skills and craft ideas. We are grateful for the strong partnership between families, grandparents, and our school, and for the meaningful role they play in nurturing our students’ faith and growth.
Scoil Spreagtha – Irish Language Award 2026
We are delighted to let parents know that our school will be taking part in the Scoil Spreagtha Irish Language Award for 2026.
Scoil Spreagtha is a national initiative that encourages the use and enjoyment of the Irish language throughout the school community.
We look forward to sharing our progress with you and appreciate your continued support as we celebrate and promote our language and culture.
Roblox is a popular online gaming platform where children can play games created by other users and design their own games. It encourages creativity, problem-solving, and basic coding skills, and many children enjoy using it to play with friends.
However, as Roblox is an online, multiplayer platform, it is important for parents and carers to be aware of potential risks. These can include in-game purchases, chat features that allow communication with others, and exposure to content created by users of varying ages.
We recommend that:
Children use Roblox with adult supervision
Parental controls and privacy settings are enabled
Chat functions are restricted where appropriate
Parents regularly talk with children about online safety and respectful behaviour
Roblox has an age rating of 7+, but suitability can vary depending on how the platform is used. Working together, we can help children enjoy online games safely and responsibly.
A huge thank you to Patsy and Connie for our brilliant wool workshop on Tuesday. Connie shared her embroidery pictures and explained the stories behind them. Evelyn knitted every child a mini jumper for pupils to design during the workshop. These will be displayed at this year’s maritime festival- look out for them in May.
We had our second Wellbeing Day on Wednesday as we welcomed back pupils for Term 2. During the day children had the opportunity to relax, connect and have fun through a range of engaging activities. During our Forest School session, the children built a den for their teddy bears, encouraging creativity and problem-solving while enjoying time outdoors.
Alongside this, the children also explored our VR set, offering an exciting and immersive experience of the seas around Rathlin.
The day focused on supporting emotional wellbeing and building confidence with memorable experiences for everyone involved.
