Have a look at what's happening in our school.
On Friday 23rd May we welcomed ex-staff, pupils and members of the local community as our yearlong celebrations to mark our 200th anniversary came to an end. The education minister- Paul Givan and the Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens- Ciarán McQuillan were also in attendance. Thank you to all those who attended and made it such an important event in the history of the island.
Thank you to Fergus who took the staff and pupils on a trip around Rathlin on Thursday to look at the shore and find our more about the features of the island.
We were delighted to welcome Benji McFaul to the school on Wednesday for a talk on the tides around Rathlin and how they can impact our lives. This was one of series of events that took place over the week as part of our maritime themed week.
On Sunday, we came together as a community to celebrate the confirmation of Cabhan. We were joined by Bishop Alan McGuckian, who was visiting Rathlin for the first time as the Bishop of Down and Connor. Bishop McGukian reminded us all of the power of the Holy Spirit and how we are called to serve as Jesus did. Well done Cabhan!
Congratulations to Lukas who made his First Holy Communion on Sunday!
This is such a special and important day in his faith journey. May he always feel the joy and peace of Jesus in his heart, today and every day.
We are so proud of you and are keeping you in our prayers.
God bless you always.
On Friday we welcomed the team from the Future island-island project. During the workshop we looked at what Rathlin may look like in 25 years. Thanks to all of the team for coming.
Today we welcomed parents to our annual ‘Be Proud’ afternoon when pupils got the opportunity to show off the work that they are most proud of from this year. Parents and pupils sat together and looked at all their schoolbooks and discussed their learning. Thank you to all those who attended and as always parental engagement is very high in our school.
