Have a look at what's happening in our school.
On Friday we welcomed the Belfast Wren Boys to school. They performed some songs and drama and told us all about the history of the Wren Boys in Ireland.
We held our second wellbeing day of the year on Monday 6th November. During the day, pupils continued to learn about what wellbeing is and the importance of mental health. We held several workshops including music, yoga and started to create our ‘wellbeing wall’. This is something we will develop as the year progresses.
We had lots of fun this week celebrating Halloween.
Today, we had a visit from local author Liz Weir and Masako Carey. She told the pupils stories and they learnt about what makes a good story teller.
On Friday 6th October, we had Kirsty and Charlie visit from the project. They were here to update us on the progress of the project and present the winners of the photography competition.
Please see a flyer from the EA regarding healthy lunchboxes. Scan the QR and it will take you to a range of resources that you may find helpful.
We have launched our golden tie initiative in school this month. One child in each class will receive the golden tie based on living the RATHLIN values. September’s winners were June and Oscar.
Today we launched a new initiative with Ballycastle Credit Union who gave every pupil in our school a special goody bag. Thank you also to the Credit Union for the kind donation to the school.
Pupils had lots of fun celebrating Roald Dahl 2023. In the lower class, pupils had to investigate how to clean Charlie's lucky penny and in the older class pupils used oil pastels, paint and tissue paper- all in one piece- to recreate their favourite character from any Roald dahl book.
